Beginning in December 2009, Blossom began offering an annual youth volunteer award to recognize the outstanding achievement, hardwork and caring of our most active young volunteers.  Their dedication and kindness is appreciated each year at our annual Family Volunteer Day event which is held on the Saturday before Thanksgiving...

To be eligible a volunteer must meet the following requirements:

• Be between the ages of 2 and 17

•  Participate in at least 6 volunteer projects throughout the 2009 year

• Fill out and have signed Blossom's Youth Volunteer Award Form

• Submitted this form by November 1st

• Special volunteer projects that fall outside of our regularly scheduled events can apply towards this award but must have volunteer supervisor permission and signature to be eligible

What do recipients of this award get?

Each award recipient will receive a Youth Volunteer Award trophy that will be awarded to them and announced at our annual Family Volunteer Day event which is held during the last Saturday before Thanksgiving each year.  All Family Volunteer Day fees are waived for the volunteer as well as their family.

Our volunteers who receive this award are both dedicated and hard working.  This award represents this and, more importantly, it represents the volunteers generous and kind spirit which has acted as a catalyst for positive change within their local, national and global communities.
